Adolescent
Reproductive Health (ARH) is a relatively new area of health intervention in
Bangladesh. Although adolescent population constitutes a significant part of
the total population of the country, they were yet to be considered a
priority sub-population in reproductive health system among policy makers in
Bangladesh, until recently. Consequently adolescents face various obstacles
in accessing the services, one of which is receiving accurate information
regarding reproductive and sexual health. In addition, adolescents are often
not aware of adolescent-friendly sources of care, which when combined with
their limited knowledge hinders their ability to make informed choices to
protect and promote their own well-being.
