SHIRINA AKTER is a Senior Research Officer at BCCP with ten years of public health research experience. Her research experience is in public health issues (i.e WASH, nutrition, infectious disease, maternal and neonatal health, gender-based violence, TB, and maternal immunization). She has developed knowledge and understanding of research, monitoring, and evaluation through her studies and research. She completed her BSS and MSS at Rajshahi University from the Department of Anthropology. Now she is working with the Tobacco Control Policy Research Grant Program. She worked as a Research Officer and Senior Research Officer for ICDDR, B and JiVitA projects at Johns Hopkins University, Bangladesh. Shirina attended courses including “The Basic Course on Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), Introduction to STATA, Training course on Endnote, Information Literacy and Literature Search, Using Atlas ti for Qualitative Data Analysis.” She participated in the Maternal Immunization Partners' Meeting organized by the Bill& Melinda Gates Foundation, Washington DC, USA in 2023. Her research interests are communicable and non-communicable diseases, Climate change, and nutrition. She has also international publications in peer-reviewed journals as a co-author.
