MS. Sonia Islam
MS. Sonia Islam is a communication expert with more than seventeen years of working experience in planning, designing and implementing different communication and social mobilization campaigns. She has managed large-scale, multi-media communication interventions in the areas of family and reproductive health, nutrition, communicable and non-communicable disease including STI/HIV/AIDS, child rights, violence against women, environment health, food safety, public procurement reform, branding of Smart NID card and many more. As an Assistant Director (Campaign) of BCCP, Ms. Islam has been actively involved with implementing and monitoring of various successful campaigns both in National & local level. She has worked for different projects of Government, Non-Governmesnt and other donor agencies like UPHCSDP, IDEA, PPRP II, DIMAPPP, NHSDP, AVP II, SLDW etc.
Ms. Islam is also an expert of social marketing and branding/rebranding campaign. During her 7 years job in Social Marketing Company (SMC), she has worked to establish different successful brands of reproductive and child health products.
She has an intense experience to work with different Ministries of Bangladesh Government and other donor agencies like- USAID, US Embassy, World Bank, ADB, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNDP etc. She has completed MBA and BBA in Marketing from North South University.
