Bios of workshop facilitators

DR. SHAHIDUL ALAM
DR. SHAHIDUL ALAM has more than twenty-seven years' experience in strategic communication program planning and management; networking with partners and donors community; developing training curricula, planning and implementation of large scale behavioral change communication (BCC) capacity building programs in health communication projects in Bangladesh. He has experience of piloting an innovative communication program on reproductive health, population and nutrition program named as "Jiggasha", developed by the Johns Hopkins University/ Center for Communication Programs (JHU/CCP) in a upazila which was later replicated in 18 upazilas of Bangladesh by Directorate General of Family Planning. Dr. Alam obtained MBBS degree from University of Dhaka and post graduation course on preventive medicine (MPH) from NIPSOM, Dhaka. He attended in various overseas training on MCH based family planning, strategic communication on reproductive & maternal health program management, HIV/AIDS and WHO- Frame Work Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO-FCTC), Leadership in Strategic Health Communication course in Indonesia, New Delhi, Bangkok & USA respectively.
