Stakeholders Greetings

“Congratulations to the Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs for 25 years of success improving the lives of people in Bangladesh and beyond. The faculty and staff of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Institute for Global Tobacco Control celebrate your tremendous achievements.

Both of our organizations seek to create awareness, increase knowledge, build capacity and support health-promoting behaviors. Your efforts at achieving these goals in so many areas of life serve as an inspiration to all.

Over the past eight years, we have worked as proud partners on the Bangladesh Tobacco Control Research Network, supporting nearly 100 researchers from across the country to conduct critical studies that can directly inform current and future tobacco control policies.

Building research capacity, especially among young tobacco control researchers, can play a crucial role in achieving the government’s vision of making Bangladesh tobacco-free by 2040. This initiative can make a difference as we work to bring an end to the number one cause of preventable death.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration in the key area of tobacco control. On behalf of all your friends at the Institute for Global Tobacco Control, I send our very best wishes to mark this celebration of the many significant achievements of BCCP over the past 25 years, and I send along our wishes for continued success in the future. ”.
