Stakeholders Greetings

“I am very pleased and gratified on this occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the independent and locally owned and operated Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs to see the success and growth of this organization we created those many years ago. As the first local organization to be born out of the offices of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs based in Baltimore, USA, BCCP has served as a model for and the most successful of the subsequent “sister organizations” around the world, spun off by the CCP headquarters, from Nigeria to Egypt and Indonesia. The early days were fraught with challenges from partners doubting the model and viability. BCCP only grew stronger and more successful as a result. From its beginnings with about 30 staff in a small, rented office in Dhanmondi with USAID as its single donor, to it’s current own building in Mirpur with over 100 staff and multiple international and local donors, BCCP’s status as the premier communication organization in Bangladesh is a testament to its leadership and staff and their commitment to improving the lives of the people of Bangladesh. I am proud to have been there at the beginning and to have continued my relationship with all my colleagues and friends at BCCP over these many years and wish you many more successful and creative years ahead. ”.
